Hi. I'm in the process of getting divorced, and it's not amicable. ExH is narcissistic and only happy when getting his own way.
So I'm quite nervous about doing this, but my DC (11/9/7) have asked to change their last names to include my name (I've always used my maiden name).
My name isn't common in the UK, where we live but it's famous from a footballer do no spelling issues even though it's "foreign". My DC want it as a last name, not a middle name.
How do I do this? Is it better to wait until the divorce is over, or to do it while still legally married?
Anyone with any experience of doing this, and how angry/uncooperative was your exH?
