Consent order rejected...

Mine & stbxh consent order has been rejected, they have asked for more information about how we have come up with the opposed offer as to who is getting what & child arrangements. His solicitor has drafted a letter witch to be frank is utter bullshit & paints me to be the worst mum in the world. Can I refuse to sign this ? Even thou I signed the consent order that was rejected?

Yes. Ask that it’s amended to be factual rather than opinions based. Do you have a solicitor to respond through?

Bence69 · 10/11/2020 23:19

No I don’t have a solicitor but think I may definitely need one now. Thank you for the advice x

@Bence69 you definitely need a solicitor here. I had a consultation with mine today and brought up the possibility of order being denied. I was told that in this case both parties would need to submit a letter confirming they are inagreement with the drafted order and no pressure was exerted over signing it. He mentioned that denials quite often are related to one spous having a big pension pot and other party not having claims on it- they want to know why.
Is your divorce amicable?

Bence69 · 11/11/2020 23:56

No not amicable at all, he lies constantly about what I have & haven't done. I signed the consent order to be brought out of the house but now it has come back stating it doesn’t seem fare & now the amended letter from the solicitor stating why we have come to this agreement is all lies.

OP you need a solicitor. I would think that they are refusing to accept it because you are getting much less than your fair share of the assets. Please don't proceed without getting professional advice.
