DH had an unprovoked screming session at me today and has pissed off into hotel he can’t afford. I’m stuck at home watching usa elections and feeling lonely. Wine has been sampled. Anyone around for a chat?

I'm up as not in the UK. I've just had breakfast, my son is home learning as his school is shut and I'm overwhelmed by another day of this!!!!

Breastfeedingworries · 04/11/2020 01:49

I’m poorly with tonsillitis and what I fear is an infection as I’ve got ear ache too Sad

Tomorrow is last day I was planning on seeing close friends (distanced) to give birthday gifts. Also I wanted to attend a funeral.

I’ll try anything to get well. Gargled salt water, drinking Hunny lemon and took strong pain killers they aren’t touching it and I think j I’ve taken too many in 12 hours!

@BusterGonad, you’re in a more sensible place than i am (uk). Lockdow here from thu but kids still go to schoolHmm I predict that won’t last long when they realise 2 weeks in that cases are still rising.

@Breastfeedingworries, i’m back to taking daily vit D and feeding it to my kids as that makes any pulmonary infections easier.... I’m raking leaves in the garden tomorrow and taking them to a tip before they close...

I survived a round of redundancies from last lockdown and i’m shitting myself re what happens now.

Hope you guys are ok.

Could you try an antihistamine and a hot water bottle on the bad ear? Also I get a lot of ear issues and sudafed (sp?) type tablets help to drain my ear/nose tubes relieving ear discomfort.

BaskingMad · 04/11/2020 02:05

@Breastfeedingworries also remember your body is dealing with it at its own rate. Which might be slower than your expectations...

The schools have been closed since March and the airport since April, tbh I'm fed up of the lockdown and would welcome normality. People are going hungry and businesses are closing down. My sons life is shit at the moment. I myself feel like I'm going insane.

BaskingMad · 04/11/2020 02:12

@BusterGonad where are you? I understand, so fed up here, i’d gladly lock myself in for 2weeks if that means end of all of this..
My son (11) went to friends house today before lockdown starts and my dd (6) was crying as she couldn’t stay there- i reassured her we’ll have her friends over as soon as this is over. I hope that is.
It is hard on them. And us.

Myanmar. I'm done with staying home. Lockdown has done nothing to halt the spread. I need my life back, my son needs his life back. I am totally done with it now.

BaskingMad · 04/11/2020 02:22

Wow. Lockdown since March there... how strict is it. Ours is a joke really.
I’m also in the middle of divorce, i’mged up, lonely and scared and i’m not easily scared or a worrier. Scared about economical impact.

@Basking not sure there will be anything for a few hours in the elections. Has North Carolina bee called? Sorry to hear about you being on the end of a screaming match, very, very unsettling

BaskingMad · 04/11/2020 02:35

@Folicky i know, we wont know anything for sure till tomorrow. I dont hold out much hope but maybe, just maybe we won’t have another 4 years of relentless tweets.

Basking yes the encomy seems to be fucked the world over, I can't imagine the added worry if you're currently in the middle of a divorce too.
All I want at the moment is freedom to go food shopping when I want, not when my son finishes his school day and I have to squeeze it in between end of school and dinner time, when my husband had finished work himself. I feel totally trapped at home. I dream of the day we can all go out for food and a few drinks. I'm not actually worried about catching covid as much as I'm worried about the impact of lock down.
I hope your day gets better Basking. Why did your husband scream at you?

waitrosetrollydolly · 04/11/2020 03:35

I'm up . Went to bed on my own, thoroughly exhausted at 10pm . DH snuck in ( I don't know when) but he got up for a wee at 2am and I've been wide awake since! He's blissfully snoring softly now !! Uuurrgggh ! So I'll be knackered all day now !

I think I'll book a hotel on my own tonight !
