I'm looking for a solicitor to advise re: my divorce. Do they need to be local?

I'm guessing most are not doing face to face right now anyway and I'm not sure what would really need to see them for. Would it just be signing paperwork?

not at all - ones outside of London can be cheaper and you don't need to meet face to face

No they definitely do not have to be local thank heavens for that
There is no need for face to face emails, telephone communication.
What you need is a knowledgeable well informed lawyer that you feel is right for you and your specific circumstances.
Do your research ask others who have gone through similar for recommendations
