If he doesn't do anything

Has anyone divorced someone who has been obstructive through the process in terms of not engaging with putting house on market and dragging it out? Do you then need to force them to sell (if they also refuse for you to buy them out).

Is it realistic to have it all done and dusted and sold and proceeds split within 6 months?

Thanks!

Um no. 15 months in and I still can't get my ex to agree to give financial disclosure.

13 months in here and I can't get my ex to do anything either. I've even offered 70/30 split in his favour but he just can't accept its happening.

The system is hard work.

Thanks ladies. But can't the court force him to get a move on?

@JaggySplinter @Scaryprospects can't the court force them to get a move on?

Not in the UK ... but I'm going into my fourth year! It is an awful situation, he won't engage with the legal side because he can't afford to move out, so dragging it out as long as he can. He knows I won't stop paying the mortgage or else I will get a bad credit rating so is quite happy to live rent free.

I'm 18 months in and seriously hoping that the end is in sight. If not I'm hoping the court process can get things moving.
