Moving abroad- tricky situation, advice needed!

Hi everyone,

I am in a tricky situation and I need some advice.

I was with my ex for 1 year and I got pregnant very quickly after 3 weeks. Social series became involved in our relationship due to his constant phone calls to professionals about me, claiming that I assaulted him and that I have BPD. I never attacked him and I did a test with a psychiatrist to check my mental health- I do not have bi-polar disorder or BPD.

Social services said I was in a controlling and coercive relationship, so I made the decision to leave my ex with my two month old baby.

I am not originally from this country and I would like to move to France where my family live, or Russia where I have family there as well. I do not have family in this country.

I have applied for a specific issue order and I will claim legal aid because of the domestic abuse as my child is subject to a Child Protection Plan.

I would like to move to France before the withdrawal agreement ends on the 31st December 2020 as I will have a chance to claim residency, anything after that date will be difficult and I will have to find a job in order to move to France to be with my family, or organise a visa, or marry a French man! I just want to be closer to my family.

Do I have any chance to move abroad, will the judge take pity on me and understand that I need to act fast in order to claim residency in France and also that I am fleeing domestic violence?

I have applied to courts for an urgent specific issue order.

Can anyone please advise me on what I should do next?

Thank you!

Sorry I don't have any experience with this.
I really hope you get your Specific Order Issue through soon. For what it's worth, you sound like you have a really strong case to move abroad. Failing that, I'd just do it anyway! What are the chances of him going to court to contest it? If you're not from the UK originally, surely you already have residency abroad?
Sorry, not much help. Good luck.
