Solicitor slow. Is this normal?

My solicitor takes weeks at a time to answer anything back. I have had my divorce put in now for about 2 months it took me 2 weeks to get her on the phone to which she made me feel bad because she was talking about other cases with children involved being very important and also didn't answer any of the handwritten questions I sent her through the post. when I email her she hardly ever answers them at all she contacted me two weeks ago about the divorce and I asked her to draft the petition and I haven't heard anything and it's been another 2 weeks is this normal to be this slow. We are two months in and the petition has not even been sent to me to view.

Not normal. I would find another solicitor if I were you. This will add a layer of stress that you really don't need.

Absolutely really not normal.

Either very inefficient or simply overwhelmed. Either way, not in any position to do their best for you.

I'd look out for a recommendation. Worst case, your current solicitor gets it done before you find a really good solicitor.
