I would really like to start the divorce. We separated amicably in January 2020 and things have been smooth since.

I don't want to wait until January 2022 to get things going but am also reluctant to articulate unreasonable behaviour. He ended the relationship and was far from perfect but not an awful person during the marriage.

I have dated following the split, would I be very stupid to offer this as "adultery" so that we can get on with the divorce? I really don't think he will mind and I'd prefer to do it between us without spending lots on solicitors.

Just use UB

Anything from leaving towels in the floor, not wanting to socialise, not communicating , not contributing to household tasks.....

I had my original petition bounced back by the court. Used UB by STBXH and he agreed not to contest it. I have been advised that there must be enough to 'blame' the respondent - and to give examples (preferably recent) with dates. Frankly, it feels ridiculous to have to justify ourselves after almost 20 years of marriage, and when the 'no fault' legislation is coming soonish. No-one had to approve our decision to get married.

Good luck...

I gave one example

Played computer games excessively

Divorce went through really quickly.

He could file and use UB for you if you’re really not bothered by what he writes and you don’t want to offend him? Or ask him to give you some suggestions!

Decree nisi coming fairly soon now. Tbh, that's the easy part. Financial negotiations at absolute stalemate and he is becoming incredibly nasty and vitriolic. I can foresee only the lawyers benefiting here sadly...
