Hi I’m posting here as I’m hoping someone here will have the answer.
So,Hubby is leaving me. We think we have found him a place and moving out date looks likely 1st August.
He works, I lost my job at the start of the pandemic. We claim some universal credit.
My question is, at what point should I tell UC he is moving out. Obviously his next month wage won’t come to me at all as he will use that for his new house,but if I leave it until after he has moved out, Universal credit are likely to take his wage into consideration as my statement gets done using figures up to 26/27th of the month.
He is already only putting his basic wage over into our joint account. He’s kept back £500 this month in his account.
Any advice?? I need to make sure me and the kids are ok but don’t want to get in trouble if I tell them too soon.
