Divorcing H, feels like a simple case

Hi, I would really appreciate your advice. I’m ready to divorce H, and as it will be a pretty simple case. We own a house as joint tenants in common, no kids. Been married 6 years. He has cheated.

I’m happy to complete the application form myself. My question is the financial order / settlement. Can I ask lawyer to draft just that bit and whilst I complete and submit the form?

A lawyer has quoted me £1600 for the divorce but given the only real asset is the house I think that’s excessive?

My main concern is that we go 50/50 on any equity and that we don’t ever approach eachother for more of the house in future.

Also, when we sell the house, will the solicitors deposit 50% of any equity into my account and 50% into his? Thanks

Are you joint tenants or Tennant's in common
You will need an agreed consent order, after nisi but as long as you both agree, 50/50 should work, provided you don't have massive disparity if income and pensions.
