Consent Order - no representation

Hi,
Looking for a bit of advice if possible.
Got all the documentation ready to go for the consent order. My solicitor had drawn it all up and my ex has signed everything.
My ex isn't represented by anyone and I've heard that the judge may send the documents back because if this.
My ex says hes not spending money to get someone to check it and hes happy with it. He said if I wanted a divorce I should sort it all out and he will just sign what he needs to.
Is there anything I can put in with the documents to show this and avoid it being sent back?

My ex didn’t have representation for the same reasons. We didn’t get any questions from the judge and it went through with no issues.

I think the question is is it fair? Eg if you get 99.9% of all
Assets and he gets 0.1% a judge will question that and will want to ensure he’s had proper representation
If the split is weighted pretty equally, can easily be explained a judge may allow it through

@millymollymoomoo
Thanks, that makes sense. We had no shared assets or property etc and it was a short marriage so we are just going for a clean break of what's his is his and mine is mine. I do earn a bit more but We have a daughter who lives full time with me. Hopefully the judge will see it as a fair split!

My ex had no representation. I paid to have it drafted and it passed with no problems.

A judge will only send it back of it seems really disproportionate or one sided in any way.

@flirtygirl thanks, that's good to know 🙂
