Can friendship survive?

"We're ending our marriage, not our lifelong friendship."

We're mutually facing reality after 30 years, but we've been such good friends. Not a complicated, nasty type separation. (non covid related.)

So....any successful friendships endured?

A friend once said to me "no such thing as an amicable divorce". I think she was pretty much correct. May start that way but usually disintegrates

Agree....they all start that way but all end differently but would love someone to prove us wrong.

The friendship will stay until one of you finds a new love interest/ gf or bf.

I'm friends with my ex and over the last few years he has been a rock through many life tribulations. We have a now adult son together .

He is a good, honest and kind man.
It's entirely possible to be friends with an ex.
