I've just discovered that as my daughter has logged into google classroom at both houses and I've then used her google account by mistake my ex can see all my search history. Be careful!!

Can you explain this to me more please? I have an abusive ex. I will have to speak to my children's ht. What should I say?

I'm waiting for the school to come to back to me.

When I look at my children's google account I see things I have searched for. If you do that you can see what's there and maybe delete. I logged out of all devices and let children know to log out.

It might also be worth posting this in the Lockdown Learning or The Staffroom areas as well OP.

One of the things a good number of teachers are concerned about is the sudden rolling out of edtech provision without enough time to devise proper strategies or think through potential issues.

What do you think the school can do?! This is your error at your house. You need to make sure you are on your own google account. It should be obvious by the icon.

If you share a laptop or PC with anyone else, always create individual log in accounts and never share them, then you don't have to worry about this kind of thing. Also never routinely log in with an admin account

Harder if it's a tablet or phone that you are sharing though.

They could be aware of search items being searchable and could have a guide to online learning for parents and students that includes relevant information.

Im sure if op can use mumsnet, she can do a search on google classroom.

Purpleartichoke · 18/04/2020 00:05

It’s because you are logged in as her as you are doing those searches. You don’t need to contact the school.

Easiest solution, add user accounts to your home computer. Each user should have their own log-in.

If that isn’t possible, log her out of google and log yourself in when you need to use the computer. If she is young, be sure to log her back in when you are done.
