Savings question

Hey, I've had the financial order through and the amount of savings detailed for him are way lower than they were when we separated two years ago.... he's obviously spent a lot of it.

Can he do this? I assumed the money to be divided would be what it was when we were together

Form E?

carriebreadshaw · 12/03/2020 14:26

Oh I don't know... and I don't have it here. It's the one that outlines what savings each person has and what debts etc.

Form E you have to declare all your assets including pensions, savings etc. You also provide 12 months bank statements for each account, this should give you an idea for where the savings have gone.

The next step is to raise a questionnaire so you can further question what happened to the savings.

As someone else said along with 12 months of bank statements you can ask questions about the other person's form E. In this case if you know the account in question you can just request another year's statements for that specific account

Thank you. No bank statements have been discussed at all - should I bring that up?

My Exh hid his savings and unless I was going to spend £000s on taking him to court I just had to accept it. Its total shit but I just didnt have the money or energy to fight so let him get away with it
