Is there a legal document I can get drawn up that would state that my husband won't make me sell the house/buy him out till our kids get to a certain age (is I'm working full time again and have a chance of getting my own place)
Obviously we would both agree to this but is this a thing?

That’s only if you get divorced? Are you in the process of that ?

Louise000000 · 05/03/2020 08:10

Yes divorce is on the cards and I want to secure the house for kids for a couple of years at least

It’s called a Mesher Order.

But..... a clean break has to be considered by the courts and both parties should be allowed to rehouse themselves adequately.

Mesher orders are rare now and IMO only postpone the inevitable.
