Forensic Accountant

Has anyone used a forensic accountant to aid a financial settlement?
I don't believe my STBX figures and he is not providing any supporting evidence, we are still in a collaborative situation. He wants me to accept his offer or is threatening to withdraw it. I guess that means the next step in the courts.
I wondering about the costs of an actuary and a forensic accountant? He has large investments, property and pensions.

I haven't but I suspect you will be looking at similar to solicitor at £300 per hour. Some solicitors have a relationship with a accountancy company for issues such as this but they tend to be more high end divorces with lots of money to argue about and be laid in legal fees
