Just that really. Married 30 years and split recently. Still quite amicable and this is the first night I've spent totally alone in the house as DD staying with him tonight.

How have others found adjusting to a new life?

Sit in his spot on the sofa, watch something he hates, paint your nails (without the fumes "upsetting" anyone)!

I made a list of all the things I'd fancied doing over the years but not done because of him, then set about doing them all. I had a blast and when I fell in love again, I was totally fulfilled and ready to commit again.

Tomorrow buy another duvet and duvet set. I always sleep with 2 duvets now. Wonderful.

Eat whatever meal you want, leave the dishes unwashed if you want, spend ages in the bathroom if you want, watch a girly film and cry if you want, sleep with the light on if you want, sing "Let it Go" from Frozen at the top of your voice!
Try to see the positives.
It is hard but you'll get there x

Thank you so much for all your suggestions!
I am sure that first one was the hardest and I survived!! Your comments gave me a chuckle and I did eat what I wanted and watched crap telly. SmileWine
