Should I be worried?

My friend is dating a separated , married man. Has been for a year now. He hasn't started proceedings. Should I be worried? He's been through a lot in his life recently. For some reason I can't open up to him. I feel he should at least start proceedings or have a plan. No kids involved.

Are you worried for him, your friend or you? You already say he has been through a lot recently so maybe it's one thing that isn't really a priority, hes separated. It's just a legal change
