So because I wouldn’t show husband the WhatsApp chat between myself and my best friend, he grabs me by the throat and pushes me. Because I said, it was none of his business.

Trying to separate from him. He won’t cooperate. Wouldn’t go to mediation. Won’t move out of home. I’ve offered to buy him out.

First hearing re the children next week. I’ve had cafcass call and been spip course. He’s done nothing.

This argument last night upset the children. I’m not surprised. I am normally very good at ensuring they don’t witness our arguments. Usually we are very civil.

Just wish he would accept its over and start looking to the future. I finally found the guts to tell him I wanted a divorce. That was over 12 months ago. He had an affair 4 years ago and then started inappropriate behaviour again.

Wish I could move things forward quicker.

Could you tell the police about the assault? Press charges. They will remove him from the home....and if they don't right away, you will have that report on record so the MOMENT he raises his voice you can call to have him removed.

Then get a non molestation order.

Grim. You have my sympathy, divorcing someone who doesn’t want to get divorced is long, slow, hard work.

It’s good you are focussing on separation, it’s easier than divorce as a first step.
