FHDRA Next week... help please

I have our FHDRA next week regarding the children. I have been called by Cafcass to have the safeguarding telephone conversation and am also booked to go on a SPIPS course tomorrow.

I think my husband whom I am trying to separate from, who still lives in the house, has not responded to the communication from Cafcass re the call or the course.

What will happen at the FHDRA if

a) we both go but he hasn't had the telephone call and gone on the course

and

b) If he doesn't show up at the FHDRA ?

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

If he doesn't show up it will almost certainly be adjourned.

If he does, there is likely to be a CAFCASS officer there who can interview him if he's missed the phone call. If he hasn't done his SPIP he'll be ordered to do it.

Not much happens at most FHDRAs. It's about making directions so that the court has the information it needs to make decisions. If CAFCASS think there are safeguarding issues they will recommend a more detailed report, called a Section 7. They will also recommend any further evidence that's needed, depending on what the issues are , for example a letter from a GP if one of you has a relevant health problem, or a drug test if that's an issue. If not, the court might order you to each file statements and list it for a contested hearing, which means that you both give evidence and the court makes a decision.
