First solicitors app monday. Separating from unfaithful husband. What info do I need to gather together/ photocopy before he realises I'm not just going to go along with what he says?
So far I have mortgage statement, pension statement, his work contract, proof of his earnings going back 5/6 years, car financials, going to bank tomorrow to ask for printed statements going back however long they will provide before he shuts down bank account. Dates and places he met his mistress? Birth and marriage certs. Going to photocopy everything I can get my hands on tomorrow. Is there anything important I have missed? Really want to get these ducks in a row x

I wouldn't bother getting proof of the affair as the court won't even look at it and it won't have any bearing on a financial settlement.

I would get all the financial info you know you'll need and it sounds like you have it. What about savings account statements too? He may also have more than one pension

I’ll try and find the link to a post from a few years ago from a poster called ‘coatsprotectionleague’... it was an amazing how to on how to get ahead before she confronted her cheating husband.

And take the originals of marriage & birth certs, and passport.
