Coercive controlling behavior

Has anyone had success getting their husband put away for coercive / controlling behavior which is a criminal offense in the UK?

My husband is refusing to let me take my daughter to a play date with my friend and her kid because he had a fight with her and doesn't like her. He doesn't let me speak to her. He's fired our cleaner even though we can afford it because he says I can clean as I don't do shit at home anyway. I work full time as a lawyer and have a child and we need the help.

He is always calling me names, calling me a whore and swine and threatening to not allow me to take my daughter abroad to see her grandparents (my parents).

I don't have written evidence of any of this because who would? It happens day to day.

someone else rang the police on ExDP so they broke into our home armed so i didnt have anything prepared as wasnt expecting it. They took phone evidence (texts of him threatening me and being abusive to me) which they then used at court for evidence in trial. They send my phone off to try and recover anything that may have been deleted. Took witness statements off family who had listened to me tell them how controlling he was. I cant think off the top or my mind but if you think of any questions just ask away x

@iamtinkabella did he hit you and how long did he go to jail for? Do you have kids? What happened to them?

Yes he did. without outing myself he got more than 3 years. Yes we have chilren. Social services got involved and the abuse was horrific and he had threatened our children. Social services have been fantastic and ensured me i am a great mother and its not my fault! Smile

my children never got took off me, just regular meetings until he was sentenced to ensure i was ok and so was the children. They will not take your children off you if thats what you are worrying about.

I was advised by a dv expert in the met police that I should have rung them every time he did something under this category. Apparently because of GDPR just calling is enough evidence. I never really talked much about it before I left cos his overall modus operandi screwed with my head leaving me not knowing what was or was not real. I expected no one to listen cos he was always careful to keep it behind closed doors and not do anything social together outside of just family.

I didn't do much cos he largely keeps out of my way now I live in a rental flat rather than the home we had almost paid off. Dd did at one point feel it appropriate to give him the key to my place so he came around and opened windows whilst I was at work I suspect, but I guess it could have been the letting agent as he suggestedConfused. Reported and stopped her taking a key to his after that...

@Otter71 that sounds messed up. I can't ring in. I've rung about DV type issues before but at the time wasn't ready to press ahead with it and it just caused more issues in our relationship. I want to go through with this now.
