Has anyone used legal aid? I'm eligible due to domestic violence and I'm claiming benefits. I've just got the paperwork and it says that if I receive any money in the divorce that I may have to pay a statutory charge. Does anyone know what this is or how much?
Or would I be better to go down the DIY route and just got some advice splitting our assets (we know roughly want we want to do) and draft the consent order?
