Hi
I'll keep this short.
My Husband left at the start of February this year.
We had been together for 28 years & married for 25.

We have just started the mediation process ( shuttle mediation )

I was the SAHM so I haven't worked for 26 years

I'm wondering what a reasonable length of time is for an adjustment period?... with regards to my position.

I never wanted the marriage to end.

Sadly the separation has resulted in my mental health issues returning, I'm taking medication for anxiety & I'm on an anti depressant.

Also any future heads up going forward with the mediation process?

Thank you for reading.

I can’t be much help here Uggs but, by answering, your message will be bumped and a more knowledgeable person will hopefully be along.

My friend hadn’t worked for 22 years and both her DC were Uni students when her marriage ended. Her settlement was at a high rate for 3 years to allow her to study, she now has 3 years on a reducing scale whilst she builds a career. That is the end of spousal maintenance. Of course, she has assets from the marriage, mostly property, and she has mentioned pension provision has been made for her.
This is all word of mouth so not much help. I can imagine how weird it must be being single after so many years and using shuttle mediation makes me think things have been tough so have some Flowers
