Thought I was doing so well :(

Was coping so well with my separation (my choice after finding out recently that my husband had cheated some years back).

Today had a school mum at DS’s school be really rude to me over a completely innocent and trivial mistake and basically refuse to accept my grovelling apology.

My first thought was ‘oh i’ll just go home and have a moan to DH about it and then i’ll be fine.....’.

Then realised he doesn’t live there any more.

Feel completely knocked for six.

People have been amazed how strong i’ve been in the circumstances but today I am decidedly not strong!

Huge hugs to you OP Flowers
I hope you've been kind to yourself today, maybe you can make some time this evening for a nice long soak in the bath, or treat yourself to something. You are in a grieving and healing process, and while you are doing really well, I guess you are probably still quite fragile underneath it all. Forget about the school mum. Sounds like she has a chip on her shoulder. She is not worth it.

I am in the process of getting divorced (my decision, he's an alcoholic). And I think most days I'm strong. But other days it all gets a bit much.

One day at a time Smile

(((Hugs)))

You’ve done the right thing and you just have to remember that and NOT ring him asking him to come back!

No matter what he was like, he wasn’t all bad and you’re allowed to miss him sometimes, and cry for the good bits his idiocy had taken from you. Your dreams, your future you had planned and for the ‘couple’ stuff right now. It is shit.

Good news, you can eat ALL the Easter Eggs in your PJ’s with a bottle of wine and a good film 🌷
