Divorce/finance questions

HI mid-way through a divorce - Nisi applied for at beginning Nov 18 but no paperwork through yet.

Issue is that ex and I are now NC and ex is the applicant so I'm unclear as to whether I will be getting any further paperwork etc.
I am concerned as ex is money obsessed and the applicant that ex will have had nisi and will apply for absolute despite finances not being sorted (we have young children and a considerable sum of money tied up in marital assets).
So can the ex get the absolute granted with no financial order being made?
I have googled but there seems to be no definitive answer as to whether the divorce goes hand in hand with finances being sorted.
Thanks.

To OP

I think its best to reach agreement or have a Financial Order in place before the Absolute is issued. Seek advice to see if the absolute can be blocked before the finances are sorted.
