My husband is moving out next wednesday into his own place as we have tried to make the marriage work for over a year. My question is am i obliged legally to do anything ? At the moment its all pretty amicable (ish) and there is no issue with the mortage being paid etc - he is continuing to carry on with finances as before. I know things change but just want to be sure im not missing anything Thanks.

You are still married donno you don't need to do anything. However I would advise you to ensure all banks and building societies where you have joint bank, savings, mortgage and credit card accounts are told immediately. You don't want your husband running up debts in your joint names or clearing savings accounts out as you are jointly liable for them so could end up having to pay the entire debt back.
