Bonus between separation and divorce

Hello all,

Could anyone help me confirm whether bonuses received after separation but before divorce are counted as marital assets? And does the actual act of filing for divorce have any specific relevance to this issue?

Thanks in advance for any help x

I believe they are taken into account yes. It's all about the needs of the parties rather than just a split of assets so anything can be taken into account.

Even after filing for Divorce there is an obligation on both parties to declare any changes in circumstances and any windfalls such as; bonuses, redundancy payments, receipt of shares, inheritances, winning the lottery, etc.

My ex has not declared any bonuses or redundancy which the latter has happened twice so far.

This has been over a period of 5 years .(still not completely divorced)

He wants them swept under the carpet and hope I do not notice
