Is there any point?

I separated from my ex 1yr ago. Since then I have not seen or communicated with his sister who was a friend before I met him. There is NC with my ex. My choice, not his. The children do not want to see him and are old enough to decide this. Is there any point trying to repair the relationship with the sister? I suspect she has been told a pack of lies as to why our relationship broke down and that I am stopping him from seeing the children. If she hadn't been a friend before I met him I would just cut my losses, but we were close.

I'd contact her. Nothing to lose but try not to mention the elephant in the room which maybe difficult🤔

I would reach out with a Christmas card and maybe a small gift. And say that you have missed her. The ball is in her court then. I too struggle with the loss of his family. But try and remain respectful of my ex and his new partner to form the relationship with them. It hurts though.

Thanks for responding. I should add that we separated due to DV and I am trying to have no contact with the ex. I'm worried that if I contact his sister and he finds out he'll use that as a way to get to me.

In that case I would drop them both. But I can easily lose people, doesn’t matter who they are.
