Hubby moved out this morning. I asked him to and I am pleased he has gone but rather unsettled about what happens next. I had to explain to DD (aged 7) that mum and dad don’t like each other anymore and are going to live apart for a while. We had a lovely evening but it is obvious she is pretty sad. I did the right thing but it is still tough!

G'ah - on to day 2. Day 1 was a bit of a parental fail - forgot DDs science club. Day 2 is shaping up the same way. Sent her to school in uniform on own clothes day. DH used to pay for school meals and I guess I could ask him how I go about it but that would probably be the longest conversation in months and I don't want to so have emailed school to ask. Had to cancel Scouts AGM as can't leave DD home alone. Found out DH has not been maintaining car. No washer water, radiator fluid or oil!!! It was one of the few jobs he said he did do so am annoyed and frustrated and now need to source the right oil to sort the problem out.

With the oil, if you go onto Halfords website they have a bit where you can put either the reg or make/model and it'll recommend you what you need

Day 3 is getting better. Got the first good nights sleep in months. Got kid off to school with packed lunch and everything else she needed for a school trip. Took the dog out for lunch in a dog friendly place. Have managed work and been able to focus. My headache has gone - it's been there for SO long I'd stopped noticing it! I can see the weekend approaching and my mum is cooking a big family dinner so looking forward to that.

DH and I still haven't talked since he left. I am not sure if he realises this is over over if he is thinking it is a temporary break. I want to ask him if he is looking for a job as I can't keep him forever but I think all that is a hillock to climb next week. for this week I just want to survive with DD and DDog!
