Separation

Hi, I need advice about my separation. I have an 11 year old son, to a previous marriage. We have lived with my partner for 7 years, and now the relationship has broken down. He had the house, mortgage, before we moved in so I have no claim, neither do I want to claim any financial against him. I just need advice on what to do next? I have no family close by, they live 125 miles away, so I can’t call on them for help so easily. I work full time, currently on the sick, due to mental health, and it’s not likely that I will be back to work any time soon. I need to find somewhere for my son and I to live, hopefully in the same area we in now. I have no savings for a deposit and don’t know where to turn. It is possible for me to move closer to family but again where do I turn? Anyone been through similar that can offer advice please?
Thank you, D.

You need to talk to your local authority about making a homeless application. That will mean staying local though. It's hard to get a homeless claim accepted in an area you don't live in.
