Joint account after separation

Does anyone else use joint bank accounts after separation?

We looking at a 50:50 arrangement maybe 1week about for 3 kids. I’m thinking if we both paid in an agreed but equal amount every month then this could be used for things like kids clubs, trips, school uniform, maybe other bigger bills. Does this work? HOw do others deal with spending on kids after separation?

I wouldn't only because it keeps you financially linked. I think you need to agree big purchases are shared, birthdays, Christmas, uniform, shoes etc and then incidentals are down to whoever they're with at the time.
