Hi
This is my 1st post and im asking on behalf of my partner just to try and get some information and help to guide us in the right direction.

My partner has gone through with divorce and is just waiting to apply for the absolute and will apply for this when she has applied for the financial consent.
The divorce went through on the grounds of domestic violence and now shes at the point of trying to get financial settlements sorted.
Because theres DV involved theres not going to be any mediation involved and she knows her ex is not going to agree on any amicable agreement so we are of the understanding that it will go straight to the courts to sort out ,can anyone confirm this?.
If the information above is correct does she still have to go through a solicitor to fill the forms in and send off to the courts?...trying to find out if this is correct as she is a single mum with 2 children works 16 hours a week and is worried about how she can afford this but she needs to get things sorted soon as possible.

Any help will be very much appreciated and i do realise that not all information will be from a person with legal background and i will try and provide any more information if its needed.
