Is this a really bad idea?

Thinking of buying a property with my DH so he has somewhere to go when we amicably separate. He can’t afford somewhere on his salary alone and although we own the MH outright we can’t sell it for reasons I can’t share for risk of outing myself. I want him to be able to accommodate the children easily as we will share care. No plan to divorce at this point. Is this a terrible idea? Can’t see another way at this point. Renting is prohibitively expensive. Thanks for any advice

Take separate legal advice, the reasons you can't sell may mean yes this is batshit. But they may not.

Discuss a Deed of separation with a family solicitor.
