How do I start talking about divorce?

Hello, I'm after some suggestions, please.

My husband and I separated 4 years ago. It was done very thoughtfully and we managed to put our 3 kids first, then and now.

I've moved on, started a new life and I'm very happy now.

He seems content, but to my knowledge hasn't had another relationship.

There's no chance of reconciliation and I would like to divorce for my own sense of self and to demonstrate my commitment to my (new) partner.

My ex is a lovely, lovely man and has a gentle soul.

How do I even start that conversation?

Any thoughts gratefully relieved
Kx

I suppose the nicest way would be to maybe meet in person for coffee, have a chat about your lives/children & then bring it up gently? I'm sure he'll understand. Best of luck
