Long Distance Co Parenting - Help!

I'm looking for some advice and experience in co-parenting long distance...

I have lived in Cornwall for my ex's work for many years. It has taken a significant toll on my career, as there just isn't the industry down here - so I am perpetually poor, where I really wouldn't be anywhere else in the country!

I have to move out of our marital home soon as part of the divorce agreement and need to decide where to go next...

My ex Works shifts, 3x early, 3x late, 3x off (so not necessarily weekends off). He has them now on his three days off and one other day in between as we share parenting.

My new partner lives in Bristol. I am considering moving up there, but I just cannot figure out how to do it that would work well for the children (5&7).

Does anyone have experience in long-distance arrangements and ideas? I hate the idea of the kids having to be in the car so much.

Help - going round in circles, and don't know what to do. Feel stuck in the life that he designed, not one that I did for me and my kids.

Thanks xx

If you move to Bristol would you be able to really kickstart your career? How much maintenance will your ex have to pay? I think you should base your decision on how to get the best financial position whilst minimising distance for your kids to travel. Might you be able to meet him halfway for contact?
