Just wondering if anyone has had experience of their STBX hiding assets? I'm fairly sure mine is, I'm not sure how far he will go in not revealing. I would obviously prefer not to have the expense of going to court(or hiring a forensic accountant) I would like to know what the most likely ways that he could be trying to hide money. He has had solicitors letters encouraging him to show all,but to no avail.

He's a muppet if he's trying this as he's so likely to get caught (but as you say you'd have to pay for it to be investigated!). It's completely illegal and will really damage his case in court.

There are loads of way of hiding assets, what assets do you think he has? If he has a business it could be false transactions, off shore accounts. If it's property he could be selling it off cheap or giving it to family. If it's cash/valuables he could be putting them in a safety deposit box or again giving them to family for safe keeping.
