If your ex's behaviour has been utterly reprehensible (could be outing so not giving full detail but think police and ss involved) how does it affect the divorce settlement? The ongoing legalities mean that there is nothing sorted for the DC as his right to contact, if any, can't be ascertained yet. If he goes to jail then what? And I loathe the idea of giving him half my pension (he doesn't really have one), it seems like you can do what you like and still get rewarded if that happens. Normally I'm in favour of equality and a fair split but the circumstances just aren't normal.

Very rarely in terms of money, but see this: www.marilynstowe.co.uk/2017/07/07/could-your-spouses-behaviour-affect-your-divorce-settlement/
