I have separated from my husband and can't afford any legal advice while my husband has access to a top lawyer. Is there anywhere I can go for free legal advice. My main issue at the moment is what only he should be giving me now, I can't afford to take his name off the house deeds and buy him out, therefore he will continue to profit in any increase in value while I pay the mortgage. should this be reflected in the amount he pays me, should he still be contributing to the mortgage as well as paying child support? Any help would be extremely appreciated!

You can try the CAB for basics and some solicitors give half an hour free but that probably wont get anywhere near the detail of support you want. I have gone through divorce now without using a solicitor whilst my husband did. I might be able to help a little if I understand a bit more about your circumstances.

What you seem to be talking about there is a Messer agreement, you can do some research easily on that online. He would remain on the mortgage, you would continue to live there but he would not pay for the mortgage anymore. But he would potentially need to pay you spousal support or child maintenance depending on your circumstances.

Wikivorce may be useful and search child maintenance service online
www.wikivorce.com/divorce/

You probably would benefit from even getting an hour of legal help.

Go and see decent solicitor. There is provision in the rules to make him pay your costs where there is such disparity.
