Questions for solicitors/next steps

I want to get the most out of the hour appointment i have with my solicitor.

I have decree nisi and the certificate from the mediator to say we've tried and cannot proceed with mediation.

The meeting is to decide what to do next. Mediation was halted because a) he lied about his financial situation to the mediator twice and b) he didn't do anything he agreed to do in mediation session 1 before session 2.

I guess i need to know if my solicitor thinks its worth trying to pitch a potential settlement or whether lying at mediation means we should proceed straight to court as it would take a judge to get him to be honest?

Has anyone else been in this situation and can suggest any other questions or preparation i can do to get the most out of my time with my solicitor?

Have you both completed form E?

The mediator gave us a shorter version of form e that they said would suffice if we were able to agree financially in mediation, however stbExH has decided for example that because one of his work pensions is frozen to any further contribution he does not need to include it, and because the childcare was previously paid before tax from his salary that he no longer needs to contribute to childcare ; he's paid the last 14 years its my turn now, and oh the best was he only sees the children one school day per week and i do the other 4 school days so he only has to contribute 1/5 of any of their costs. So is form e the next step?

I think so as it is the only way you will get a full disclosure.

My stbxh didn't want me knowing about his pension and wanted a settlement between us of him keeping his pension and me mine, him keeping all his redundancy money from the previous year and selling the house splitting it 50/50. I of course get the children.

He was FURIOUS when he had to do form e as it showed how much his pension was actually worth ..... enough to offset it against the house so that l and the boys can hopefully stay and not be made homeless
