Am I being unreasonable?

Separated and I have the dc and our 2 family dogs. Is it unreasonable to think that when I am away with dc exh looks after them? I'm talking weekends when he doesn't work. He lives 3 miles away.

Pissed me off that he just washes his hands of them (amongst other things!!) They're his bloody dogs too.

It would be nice if he did...but as you have custody of the dogs, they're yours aren't they?

I wasn't given a choice on that one. Just like I wasn't given a choice about how often he has his kids. He just suits himself really and blames me when things aren't suiting him. One of the main problems in our marriage was his inability to accept responsibility.

He sounds a gem OP...dog care is expensive. Have you looked into those sites where people "borrow" your dog?

I live in the middle of nowhere. Not sure anything like that around here. I've asked a friend but i hate to ask because she has her own shit to deal with and whilst she adores my younger dog, the old dribbly one would just be a step too far! She is very good though and will walk them if I'm working but if only ask her to look after the younger one. The old one is too much for her (he is huge!)
