My husband left the family home 4 years ago having been together for 26 years, He has subsequently bought a house _ something we couldn't afford to do while we were married. I am still renting our family home. Does his house become an "asset" if we eventually divorce?
Im absolutely clueless but have been advised that a financial settlement should consider this house and his pension as I have not worked or worked part time while looking after our children.

I'm not sure about the house. It might depend on where the money came from. The pension is definitely a marital asset if he paid into it while you were together.
