Hi all,

Has anyone used Wikivorce and did they find it useful? Or best to use a solicitor to get advise on finances?

Thx

Not used that but did use a solicitor which cost me about £1500. My ex was devious so I needed expert advice but every situation is different. Good luck.

I have completed my own divorce paperwork - it has recently been simplified to facilitate this, completing it was actually very easy. I have submitted it and am now waiting for it to processed. The cost of filing is £550. I don't believe you need any legal advice to sort out the divorce itself, what you potentially need legal advice on is the consent order that you may apply for between obtaining your decree nicsi and decree absolute. It is this consent order that documents how your assets are divided and gives you a clean financial break. Hope that helps.
