Hi, I am going through an experience in which my abusive ex has made a random court application (following several years doing nothing). In a nutshell I have a telephone interview with CAFCASS. I have been reading about them on other forums and have read many horror stories about them.
My situation is a bit different in that my ex has another child (age 13) from a previous relationship where his ex sends the child to him as much as possible (because she wants a break). She doesn't care that he uses drugs heavily/has ongoing mental health issues.
My question is; will the "glowing" reports from his ex and this contact override the issues of him doing nothing to see his other child? (she is 5). And all the other risk factors about him? My ex has done many horrendous things and gotten away with them (even avoiding prison). I am terrified this will go the same way.
