Guests allowed overnight?

I work nights. I am in the process of selling my house

My ex had said that if he is staying at our house, he will look after the children. If he isn't staying then I need to use childcare but it came be in my house as he doesn't any overnight guests

Can he do that? Or can I have whoever I like to stay over to look after my children while I'm working? I was thinking of my best friends (I'm single so not asking about a new partner, just an overnight baby sitter)

It can't be at our jointly owned house

He sounds like he's making life difficult on purpose. He cannot prevent you having childcare in your home. How long have you been separated and how many nights a week do you work? Congratulations on getting rid of him.
