I am panicking that decree absolute will be finalised before our finances please can anyone tell me what bearing this will have on the outcome? We are joint names in the mortgage thanks in advance x

No impact on the outcome. If he dies before final order you might lose out on widows pensions but that is now vanishingly rare.

Are you the petitioner?

You should have finances sorted before absolute,as in agreed in writing. We are waiting for ours but haven't sold house but how we split that will be part of the court agreement.
