Divorce protecting your assets

Having attended 15 hearings to divide only four assets, I have realised that the court failed to record findings prejudicial to the represented party made at hearings. In order to protect your assets, it would be wise to advise the court at the start of the hearing that you intend getting a transcript of the hearings to ensure that the order matches the hearing. To get a transcript you have to apply for the tape on court form EX107 and send it to your chosen transcriber. It is important that the court knows your intention at the start of the hearings.
