First Appointment With A Solicitor Questions....

'DH' separated before Easter and have now decided to sell the house and split the profits 50/50.

Childcare is also going to be 50/50.

I am seeing a solicitor tomorrow to check if this is the right way to proceed.

We don't want to end up in lengthy drawn out legal issues, and both are keep to make a swift exit and set up homes so we can start re-building our lives.

Also, I'm not sure if there is a point in paying to 'legally separate' and then pay again to divorce in a couple of years?

Any advice on what I should be asking and what I may have missed would be appreciated.

Many Thanks.

Take finances including pension details and house details etc. Wages etc too. Do you want a clean break then? Ask about that. What reason will you be using for divorce?
