We are going through the financial settlement in our divorce and trying to keep everything as amicable as possible. The solicitor has recommended mediation but I want to know what they do.
My understanding is that they try to keep the meeting on track, and point out any obvious imbalances. What we really need help with is financial detail, such as how do you compare a pension at 60 to a pension at 65.
Do they do this, or do we need a financial advisor as well?
