Forms are all available on the .gov website (assuming you're in the UK) and easy to download etc, along with various leaflets and booklets that explain what's what. If there's nothing much to sort out from a finances or children point of view then it's simple enough. I did it, and managed to agree on how much time the children have with their Dad, and although no maintenance passes over, he does pay for school uniforms and shoes, and contributes 50% to school trips etc, as well as dealing with everything relating to the hobby they do on the night in the week they're with him. Can't quite recall but the whole thing cost less than £500 as all we paid were the various court fees (we split that 50/50 between us).

Citizens Advice may be worth a visit if you want some additional advice, and many solicitors will provide around half an hour free for various things if you wanted another view point - all depends on your circumstances of course.
